== Feedback about Ankita ==

Ankita Sarkar is incredible and deserves the highest salary a TA can receive. She is great with clarity, getting students to be more clear with their solutions and enhancing their understanding of the problems in the process. In CS 30, TA sessions often made me more confused, but Ankita has such a great understanding of the content, and more importantly, she is extremely clear and precise with her language, so I've always walked out of one of her sessions less confused than I was before.

Ankita was great when I went to her office hours.

Really found Ankita, <other TA>, and <other TA> to be EXTREMELY helpful, as they explain concepts very clearly and give good tips for handling the course

Ankita does well in helping me and other students think their way through problems and create more rigorous proofs.

Ankita was one of my CS30 grad TAs as well and I was surprised when she recognized me, but I find the way she guides student to an answer to be very helpful in retaining the material.

Ankita can be pretty harsh in her advice sometimes.

Head TA can be frustrating to work with at times. Questions asked by students are sometimes answered in a way that seem circular, as if the question is then flipped back to the question with some irrelevant commentary. She will answer the most direct, straightforward questions perfectly fine, but some broader questions that require an explanation of the thought process is either rushed through or simply not explained well. I will caveat this by saying I've only attended 3 sessions with her, but those have been less-than-productive.

I have been quite frustrated in my interactions with Ankita. I went to her office hours the other day and was working through a solution on the board that I wanted to run by her. As my ideas became clearer, I became more confident in my answer. Rather than being proud of me for figuring the problem out, she said verbatim, "there are whiteboards all over campus. You don't have to come to office hours for this." I think it's clear to see why that is not an appropriate response. I would appreciate if she could be more positive and encouraging.

I think that Ankita can be a little bit harsh and intimidating but she also makes sure to not give you an answer but teach you how to get there yourself.

I have not had the greatest experiences with Ankita – they are extremely knowledgable about the course material, but I find I leave OH more frustrated and confused than when I entered. I often feel like they are testing me. This would be okay if I felt more comfortable with the material or was looking for an extra challenge, but often I feel like it would be more helpful to straightforwardly explain/answer questions. I understand it's not their job to give us answers – and I don't expect them to – but I would appreciate some more straightforwardness, especially when asked more basic questions.
